I’ve downloaded both Pinball Fantasies anc Pinball Dreams for my PSP. Personally I like PF better, but that’s perhaps because that’s the game I played very very much on my PC back in the days. (Had no Amiga)

One thing I miss in PF is the way you can watch Highscoore in Pinball Dreams (flipping the tables in the mainmenu). Are you guys thinking of implenting this in Pinball Fantasies too? It really sucks viewing the highscoore only in the actuall tables. Is there a way to update minis (?) by the way…

One last question. Will you try to convert Pinball Illusions to PSP too???

You can view the highscores in Fantasies by pressing “select” and flipping the view. They’ll show up in a few seconds!

    Nothing definite about Illusions yet!

Pinball Fantasies was just released for PSP in US and Canada, I purchased it, played it for a bit, and really like it. The game looks excellent on PSP Go screen thanks to its screens stupendous black level and color quality. Few things are missing compared to Iphone version though: Classic graphics mode, ‘hardcore’ ball speed setting and online scores.

Also, it would be really great if you could have made a game a bit more PSP Go friendly, in the sense that controls could have been mapped so that it could be played more easily in closed mode. If you only mapped a ball launcher to both triggers pressed together (take a look at Pinball Heroes on PSP), the game could be playable without opening the Go, until you want to quit the table at least. Also, it would be nice if left trigger would control the left flipper in portrait mode as well. That would make the portrait mode playable on PSP Go in closed mode as well.

I’m only a bit disappointed about this as Minis program was introduced with Go in mind first and foremost, so it would make sense to optimize the game a bit more for it. Still, I actually maybe prefer this version to Iphone one because of the physical triggers and better looking screen.

I now realized I posted this in the Pinball Dreams comment section, but I’m guessing the same criticism could be levelled against it as well. I don’t know what’s Sony’s update policy for Minis, but I see that when I highlight the game and press triangle, ‘Update’ is one of the options, so I guess it’s possible to do, just like on Iphone. I hope you guys can squeeze these minor controls enhancements in, if you plan on having any updated versions on PSP.

Marconelly, an improved version with the PSPGo in mind. We left out the oldskool etc thingies basically because a very small minority really cared about them and they would’ve been quite a hassle to include in the PSP version :/
